The Story

Hyper Yo-Yo - Hyper Raider
A flagship model of Hyper Yo-Yo from 1997.

This model was sold by Bandai from 1997 to 1999 as an OEM product of Yomega's "Raider" and gained significant popularity.

It is famous for being one of the first models in Japan to feature a ball bearing.
Maintenance requires either oil or petroleum jelly. Please note that string wear is severe and frequent maintenance is necessary.

※Most competitive players who use Raider / Fireball have modified their yo-yos. Additionally, modifications carry a very high risk of damage. Please note that without modifications, it is not suitable for looping tricks.

Installing a Size K- (Loop 720 thin) bearing and changing the axle to a Raider Axle Neo will create a setup with stronger return suitable for looping.
Replacing the axle without damaging the original is very difficult, so please try this at your own risk.

※Some players modify Plastic spacers (sold separately) with sandpaper, but this is an extremely advanced modification. We cannot recommend this as it has a high risk of damaging the yo-yo.

Important Notes

  • This product is no longer in production and is new old stock from over 20 years ago.
  • Products may have small cracks, sun damage to packaging, package damage, or rusted parts.
  • The included string is original. As it may have deteriorated, please do not use the factory-installed string.
  • Due to the package design, it cannot be resealed after opening, so we ship it in its original condition.

As this is dead stock/outlet merchandise, please understand that all of the above are product specifications. This item is sold for those who can adjust settings and perform maintenance themselves. For beginners or those not familiar with yo-yos, we recommend our beginner-friendly models.
